Robin B. Hogrefe, age 68 of Lincoln, NE (formerly Union/Nehawka communities) passed away on February 12, 2025 at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln, NE.
Robin - lovingly known as Rockin' Robin to his family and many friends – was born on April 3, 1956; the son of Marvin Wayne and Karen Elaine (Rakes) Hogrefe.
He was an over the road truck driver for many years and an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting and his guns!
Robin proudly served his country in the U.S. Army entering service in January of 1975. During his time in the Army, he served as a Medical Corpman/Medic; including on helicopters. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Sharpshooter Medal at the time of his Honorable Discharge.
He is survived by a step-son Shawn Lawrence and wife Nativa of Webster City, IA; two step grandchildren: Camden Lawrence and wife Haley, and Jaeci Lawrence; sisters: Tammy Peterson of Louisville, NE and Leanna Adams of Nehawka, NE; brother Rodney Hogrefe and wife Cindy of Sidney, IA; great nieces and great nephews including Trevor Hogrefe, Hailey Hogrefe, Ashley Kalloff and husband Tad, Becky Casteline and husband Dave, Shane Adams and Ryan Adams, other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Marvin in 2008 and his mother Karen in 2017.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday; February 22, 2025 from 1-3 p.m. at the Nehawka Community Building in Nehawka, NE.
Memorials may be directed to the family in his memory.
