Robin Kahrs Obituary
Robin Elaine McCubbin Kahrs, age 56, of Independence, KY, passed away, Sunday, April 27, 2025, at her residence. She was a homemaker and a devoted member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Independence, where she served as Secretary and Treasurer. Robin never met a stranger and was a great conversationalist. She was a good cook and enjoyed traveling, particularly to the Smokey Mountains or to a beach. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bonnie Beach McCubbin; and sisters, Lona Murphy and Nola Bishop. Robin is survived by her husband (of 29 years), Charles "Chuck" Kahrs, children, Charles S. Kahrs, David S. Kahrs, and Whitney C. Kahrs (Austin Copsy); siblings, Rhonda Webster (Kenny), Donna Sebastian, and Robert McCubbin (Lois); and grandchildren, Courtney Kahrs, Charles S. Kahrs, Jr., Rebekah O'Brien, Brody Strunk, and Beckham "Taco" Strunk. Visitation for Robin will be Friday, May 2, 2025, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Her funeral service will be Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt.
