Rob was born on June 11, 1958, at Kent General Hospital to the late Edward Billetdeaux and Regina Lena Delocier. Rob was adopted by his parents Betty and Thurley Murphy. He passed away surrounded by loved ones on February 6, 2024.
Rob had a passion for driving trucks. He was part owner in R + R Trucking LLC. He loved restoring and working on old cars. Rob loved his two dogs, Freckles and Scooter. Rob was a frequent attendee at the local car shows and won several times.
He is preceded in death by both sets of parents, his 1st granddaughter, Chelsea Asbury, and his brother Harley Murphy.
He is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Daniel Clough) Asbury, Angela (Nick) Smith, and Pamela (Ronald) Carney; 3 sisters, Audrey Murphy Wagner, Debra McGuire, and Tracy Harrington; 3 brothers, Edward Gardner, Major Murphy, and Craig Murphy; 9 grandchildren, Kaden Carney, Drew Carney, Reid Carney, Brandon Blakeman, Kristen Boone, Colin Mahar, Kyle Pinder, Owen Clough, and Zackary Clough. Rob had a very special friend who was always there for him, Tracy "Ratchet" Hollis.
Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E Lebanon Rd (Rt. 10). The viewing will begin at 10am.
