Robin Reed

Robin Craig Reed, born March 11, 1958, in Lafayette, Indiana, to the late Robert and Norma Reed, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 28, 2025. Robin is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Beth Reed; his children, Brock Reed (Stephanie) and Breck Reed Cochran (Kyle); and his beloved grandchildren, Luke, Sam, and Mason Reed, and Bella Cochran. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Robyn Starkey and brother-in-law Ralph Starkey; nephews Ryan, Robb, and Rhett Reed, Rafe (Chante) Starkey, and Rayne (Sarah) Starkey; niece Richelle Reed; his mother-in-law, Patsy Burkhalter; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Norma Reed; his brother, Randy Reed; and his father-in-law, Robert Burkhalter. A 1976 graduate of Meridian High School in Meridian, Mississippi, Robin went on to play college football for the Ole Miss Rebels and remained a lifelong fan. In 1980, his family moved to Scottsboro, Alabama, where they owned and operated McDonald's until 1998. It was there that Robin met the love of his life, Beth. Robin devoted much of his career to McDonald's management before becoming the proud owner and operator of RCR Trucking. Beyond his work, he found his greatest joy in his family-spending time with Beth, cheering on Ole Miss football, and watching his grandchildren in all of their activities. Robin will be remembered for his love of family, loyalty to his friends, and his spirited devotion to the Rebels. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
