Robin Satterfield Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home on Feb. 13, 2025.
Robin Satterfield of Fairmont, WV passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 69 leaving behind her loving husband of 50 years Bill Satterfield, daughter Melissa Satterfield, who gave her two grandchildren with ex-husband Nathan Mcarthur of SC, Nathan Mcarthur Jr., and Arielle Hickman and her husband Briar Hickman, and two great children Loucious and Theo and her fur grandbabies Harley, Kash, and Oakley. Her brother and sister Lindy Huffman and Kaye Lewis, of Monongah, sister-in-law Sharon West, and brother-in-law Bob "Satch" Satterfield (wife) Cindy Ann of Fairmont. Robin had many nieces and nephews and children who were not her own, but she loved them as if they were, she had many friends and those who became family as well as decades of co-workers through her many years in retail starting with Peoples and the many company transitions to Rite Aid. She touched many in her life, professionally, through adventures or just being a kind soul taking many under her wings, seeing the good they carried inside, mentoring them, and helping them in any way she could.
Robin was born on July 21, 1955, to Paul and Pauline Huffman of Monongah who preceded her in death. She graduated from Monongah High in 1973 and worked for Starlight Drive In and Fairmont Theater where she met the love of her life and later moved to Virginia Beach, VA with him to start a new adventure during this journey of 39 years. They met some amazing people in the van club, The Sun City Truckers, where many people became family through good times and adventures. During this time, they also had a daughter and accumulated many other children they loved as their own. Robin loved to relax with puzzles which she framed, go camping, sit around a fire with friends and family, and drink a cold beer just laughing and enjoying the small things in life. and have continued to find new adventures with her husband and new friends they enjoyed going for motorcycle rides and being a part of the Mountaineer CH. I Goldwing Riders
Watching her grandchildren grow and find success in their lives brought great joy to her, and the love and cuddles from her 4 cats she rescued over the years who already miss her dearly. Robin and Bill returned home to WV in 2011. Robin continued her retail path with Rite Aid later joining the East Side Price Cutter crew where many said they looked forward to her greeting them with a smile when they walked in or came to work and the care and concern, she gave everyone. Robin was a kind soul and radiated love for all unless you messed with her family which was quite large.
In place of flowers, the family has asked to donate towards the funeral expenses.
Before the Wake and Funeral on Sunday, they will be holding a celebration of life at the Morgantown Avenue VFW on Saturday 15th at 1 pm if you'd like to bring a covered dish, pictures memories, or simply good laughs to brighten the day, that would be appreciated.

Such a beautiful soul. I never knew her personally, but we would chat any time I found myself at East Side Price Cutter, sometimes would just simply talk about the weather or how prices on everything have gone up, haha. She was an amazing person, so sweet, and really cared about people in the kindest way, she was a friend to me. God has gained a wonderful person, I´ll miss our chats dearly.
