Darris Ray Kisner

Darris Ray Kisner, 76, of Fairmont, WV passed away in his home on Sunday, March 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 3, 1949, the son of the late Arthur Ray Kisner and Bonnie Bernadine (Porter) Kisner.

Darris was a coal miner and retired after 37 ½ years of service. He worked in many mines but retired from Blacksville 2. He was a member of the gun club and West Virginia Sportsman Firearms. He enjoyed working on his tractor and spending time with his daughter, granddaughters and great grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Edna Arlene (Hardesty) Kisner, daughter Shelly Palacios and husband Selvin, granddaughters Heather Plum and her husband Matthew and Edna Howenstein, great grandchildren Lilyonna, Chloe, Izaiah and Gabriella Plum, one brother Arthur Dennis Kisner and his wife Barb, and several nieces and nephews.

Darris was preceded in death by his father and brother Richard D Kisner.

In keeping with his wishes Darris will be cremated.
