Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shadel's Colonial Chapel - Lebanon on Sep. 25, 2025.
With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Robin Lynn Stowe, who went home to Glory on September 24, 2025.
We find peace knowing she is healed, made whole and now in the presence of Jesus, reunited with her mother, Nyla Kay and many dear loved ones who have gone on before her.
Born March 5, 1959, in
Lebanon, Missouri, Robin was the first born child of Lynn and Nyla Kay (Montgomery) Stowe. She graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1977.
Robin made her profession of faith and followed the Lord in believer's baptism at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon. At the time of her passing, she was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Lebanon, where she enjoyed her church family, her Sunday School class, her Connect Group and the fellowship of the SALT luncheons.
Robin leaves behind a legacy of caregiving, always placing the needs of others before her own. She lived a life marked by devotion to her family and friends often meeting their needs before they even realized them. Her unconditional love and gentle strength touched countless lives and will never be forgotten.
Robin began her career working for her great-uncle, Willis Loring, at Dryer's Shoe Store in Downtown Lebanon while still in high school. For more than 20 years, she built lasting relationships with customers, connecting with everyone who walked through the doors, whether fitting a child for new shoes or workers with steel-toed boots. She watched so many children grow up through the shoe store.
In the mid 1990's, Robin continued her love of serving others at Vanity Fair, where she worked as a merchandise specialist until the store closed in 2019. Her VF family fondly nicknamed her "Bird". They rallied around her, loved and supported her the last few weeks of her life. Robin delighted in meeting the customers shopping at VF, whether locals or those traveling through Lebanon. She enjoyed mentoring the high school students that came to work at the store. She would always ask about their families and more times than not she would know their families and have connections.
Above all else, Robin cherished her family. She was always the first to step up, ready to help however she could. Sometimes that meant picking up a "few" items at the grocery store for her mother, Nyla Kay, other times it meant hopping on the tractor to pull her dad, Lynn, out of the mud because he had gotten the truck stuck. Big or small, Robin took care of it. Robin adored her three nephews, Clint, Stuart and Josh. From the day they were born, she doted on them with love and generosity. The word "no" rarely came from her lips with them. Even if it did it always ended in "yes". She was present for their every event and adventure from ballgames to vacations. On road trips she packed everyone's favorite snacks. On beach trips she made sure they had every beach "necessity". Her purse was always full of their favorite gum.
Robin is survived by her father, Lynn Stowe of Lebanon; her sister and brother-in-law, Melody and Chris Allen; her nephews, Clint Allen and his wife, Ashley of Ozark, MO; Stuart Allen and his wife Jamye of Columbia, MO; and Josh Allen of Lebanon; one great-nephew, Caleb Allen; and two great-nieces, Natalie Allen and Hallie Jo Allen.
Robin is also remembered and loved by the VF family, church family and a host of extended relatives and friends.
Robin is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Nyla Kay (Montgomery) Stowe, her paternal grandparents, Lem and Myrtle (Sterling) Stowe and her maternal grandparents, Frank and Kathleen (Loring) Montgomery.
A member of her VF family said it best, Robin supported and loved everyone. It didn't matter who you were or what you were doing, Robin was there. She may give you "the look", her signature ""eye roll" or give you a bit of sass but you always knew if you needed her, she would be there, no questions asked. Robin will be deeply missed but her life of caregiving, her fierce love for her family and the joy she brought to others will live on in all who knew her. Our hearts will smile as we remember her laughter, her kindness and the many journeys we shared with her.
Visitation for Robin will begin at 9:00 A.M., Saturday, October 4, 2025, until service time at 10:00 at Shadel's Colonial Chapel.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M., also on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Shadel's Colonial Chapel.
Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery.
