Robin Wilbanks Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 13, 2026.
On Monday, January 12, 2026, Robin Lee Wilbanks, affectionately known to his closest friends as "Big Rob," resident of Walnut, Mississippi, departed this earthly life at Tippah County Hospital at the age of 59.

Services honoring Robin's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at County Line Baptist Church, with visitation on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and again on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 9:00 AM until service time. A graveside service will follow in Campground Cemetery.

Born on July 28, 1966, in Tippah County, Robin was the beloved son of Margaret Roberson Wilbanks and the late Marlin Wilbanks. He received his education from Walnut High School and was a faithful member of County Line Baptist Church.

Robin was a devoted son to his mother and her constant friend and companion-rarely ever leaving her side. Their bond was one of love, loyalty, and deep connection.

Known as an all-around "good dude," Robin enjoyed fishing, spending time on his phone, and driving his sister's pontoon boat. He loved watching football and had a special passion for music. One of his greatest joys was playing the bongos with his dear friends Hunter and Dave, moments that brought laughter and unforgettable memories to all around him.

Robin will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Margaret Wilbanks of Walnut; his sister, Twania Bennett of Walnut; his uncle, Trent Roberson of Ramer, Tennessee; his three nephews, Shaun, Benji, and Rusty Mullins; his two closest and dearest friends, Hunter and Dave Mullins; his loyal canine companion, Lady Bug; along with a host of cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marlin Wilbanks.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Shaun Mullins, Benji Mullins, Hunter Mullins, Dave Mullins, Eric Roberson, and Allen Wilbanks.
