On the afternoon of June 25, 2024 Robin Lee Williams passed away peacefully at the Hospice House at Aldersgate in Charlotte, NC, following an extended illness with multiple health issues. Robin was only 63 years old.
Robin attended Concord University, in Athens, West Virginia where she studied psychology. As a young adult, she moved to Charlotte, NC and was employed by AAA. In her many years employed there, she established herself as the resident IT whiz. She loved a challenge and figuring out how things worked. IT provided her plenty of both. She trained and mentored many coworkers in her years at AAA.
Robin enjoyed spending her personal time with friends and her furry children. She loved the companionship of animals. She was especially fond of horses, cats and dogs, and her family included some of each, as well as some wildlife who also enjoyed her company each night as she sat on the deck stargazing. She had a soft heart for homeless or abandoned cats and dogs and had a network of friends, coworkers and acquaintances with whom she would work to find safe and loving families for these creatures. Robin was intelligent, loyal, kind and generous. She loved the mountains and the beauty of her home state of West Virginia. Robin's absence in this world will forever leave a void felt by those who knew and loved her.
Robin was born on February 8, 1961 to Robert Lee Williams and Lena Bethel Lockhart Williams in Matoaka, West Virginia and grew up in Lashmeet, West Virginia. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert, her mother, Lena and her sister, Dreama. She is survived by her partner, Ellen Moretz, her brothers Ron R. Williams and Terry G. Williams, her sister Rubena R. Williams, nephews Jerry Williams, Tracy Williams and Tony Williams, and niece Teresa Schwalbach.

I went to high school with Robin and will always remember her as a quiet genius. While she didn´t have much to say, she was always there with us and would smile at our silliness, always the wiser and more mature one in the group. I´m so sorry to hear of her passing and my sincere condolences go to her family.

Going to her moms house on the Ridge as a kid and she would come out and sit with us on the side porch of the house her mom would make us kids cookies or a snack and always had something good for us as a kid. Robin was a couple years older but she still hung out on porch.
