Robin Wilson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by J. L. Davis Funeral Home on Jan. 23, 2026.
Robin Jeanette Wilson, age 64, of Boonsboro, MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 12, 1961, in Hagerstown, MD to the late Robert & Janet Shumaker (Swain), she grew up with a deep appreciation for family traditions. Robin married her beloved husband, Delano (Dwaine) Wilson in 1979, and together they spent years building a life filled with love and cherished memories. Robin was known for helping in the school and community when her kids were younger. She had several different jobs and hobbies, including her craft business with her husband called Lovebug Creations. Many people still proudly display those creations in their homes today. Her latest job was as a lunch assistant at Boonsboro Elementary where she enjoyed seeing the kids daily and dressing up for Spirit Weeks. She was a long-time member of the Church of Christ at Hagerstown. Her greatest joy was her role as Mom and Grammy. She never missed a game, concert or event for the kids and was known for spoiling them from day one. She was always there to play games, help bake or craft or pick up fast food for her grandkids. She is survived by her loving husband, Dwaine Wilson, her children, Heather Slough (JD) and DJ Wilson (Anna Damewood), her grandchildren, Haiden, Lilah & Delaney Slough. Her sisters Debbie Wentzell and Lori Smith (Mark), many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her 2 loyal dogs Tacy and Toby who never left her side. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Peggy Lewis. A celebration of Robin's life will be held on January 27, 2026, at 6:00 pm at the Church of Christ in Hagerstown located at 10014 White Hall Road. Family and friends will be received from 4:30-6:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Washington County, as they took amazing care of her during her last few weeks of life. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will live on through her family. Arrangements were made by J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD and online condolences may be offered at www.jldavisfh.com.
