Our sweet angel, Laura Kathleen "Hezeltine" Robinson, entered this world early Sunday morning on November 16, 1986 and was suddenly taken home days before her 39th birthday on November 3, 2025. The days she graced this earth were marked with love, kindness, deep compassion and an uncanny understanding of God's power and presence. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Our comfort comes in knowing that she is at rest in the loving arms of Jesus.
Laura was born to Ron and Kathleen Hezeltine. Being their first child, their every minute revolved around that adorable blonde bit of energy and ideas. She was either pretending she was Cookie Monster, "Mary" who had a little lamb, or the Disney character of the day. When Annie was born, Laura was thrilled to have a sidekick in her pretending. If Laura was Robin Hood, Annie was Little John; if Laura was Jasmine, Annie was Alladin; if Laura was the bride, Annie was the groom. Even though when she first met Annie, she looked at her with dismay and said, "I thought it was going to be a pretend baby"! In time having a partner worked well for Laura. That special "partnership" continued throughout their lives and through so many activities and friends they shared. When Molly joined the group, Laura welcomed her with open arms and was so excited to have another member of her cast. Molly and Laura had a sweet relationship filled with dancing, laughter, making lattes side by side and pretending alongside Molly's little boys.
Laura was as an artist, dancer, cheerleader and gymnast who expressed herself with creativity and grace. She was known for her ever-present smile, her hugs, her ability to listen, her sensitivity, and her compassion. This same compassion and deep sensitivity that blessed so many, brought with it a burden in handling all the pain she sensed in the world. A true empath, Laura felt both joy and pain deeply.
On August 5, 2012, Laura married the love of her life, Nick Robinson. Together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, devotion, dancing and love. In their marriage, Laura also became a mother to Chloe and Talor, a role that came naturally. She loved them deeply and cherished every moment with them.
Laura worked as a barista for many years, where she was adored by customers and known for making the best lattes around. Her favorite and more meaningful work, however, was caring for her beloved grandmother, "Momo" in her later years – a role she embraced with tenderness and love.
Though Laura's absence leaves an unbearable ache in our hearts, we know that one day we will be reunited with "our sunshine" in heaven.
Laura is survived by her loving husband Nick Robinson; her cherished children Talor and Chloe Robinson; her devoted parents, Ron and Kathleen Hezeltine, and her dear sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie and Kyle Schwab and Molly and Deen Ibrahim. She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Mya and Emory Schwab, and Zayden and Ziggy Ibrahim; her grandmother, Dorothy Hezeltine; as well as many treasured aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her deeply.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, November 20 at Cloverdale Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
