Robyn Kurdyla Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lewis Funeral Home - Moorestown on Sep. 8, 2025.
Robyn Theresa Kurdyla (née Ekelburg), age 69, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, at her home in Moorestown, New Jersey. Born on October 6, 1955, in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, Robyn was a proud graduate of Burlington High School, Class of 1973. Their early years in New Jersey laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication to family. Robyn worked for many years at ShopRite in Lumberton, New Jersey. It was there that she met her husband, Gregory Kurdyla. Their bond grew into a loving marriage that spanned sixteen years and brought together a devoted family. Robyn is survived by her husband, Gregory Kurdyla; children, Daniel Kurdyla, Adam Kurdyla, and Christian Kurdyla; her sister, Susan Antonucci; and her brother, Scott Ekelburg. Robyn also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia Pilling Ekelburg and Raymond Ekelburg. A passionate reader with an eye for hidden treasures, Robyn found great enjoyment in exploring flea markets and thrift shops. These simple pleasures reflected their appreciation for stories-both written and lived-and the beauty found in everyday moments. As per Robyn wishes no service will be held. Interment will be private . In lieu of Fowers a memorial contribution in her name may be made to the Friends of BC Animal Shelter, 3111 Route 38, Suite 11 #238 Mount Laurel, NJ 08054 or online at https://friendsofbcas.org/support/donate/. Robyn, there are not enough words to describe the beauty you held in your heart. The love that cascaded to others; family, friends, strangers and more, always left me in awe of your kindness. I am so appreciative and grateful to have called you my mother in law, to have had the time we shared and the laughs that left us in tears ... from Atlantic City to Rochester, our stories will stay with me forever. You supported me as a person, a friend, a mom and your daughter... which I will always hold close to my heart. You became Jack´s best friend, and his Grammy he will always love you, as we all will live on your legacy and hold your memories close to our hearts. Your loving spirit will be shared through stories and examples of how we want Jack to see the world. Thank you for loving me, welcoming me into your family and helping me to see I had a second mom. Thank you for raising Adam with all of your traits and allowing me to have the best husband and best friend anyone could ever ask for. Most importantly, thank you for loving Jack as much as you have, he loves you so much. As we welcome Baby Ollie, he will be no stranger to your name and your legacy. We love you so much and we will continue to honor all that you represent. Love you Robyn, love you so much

Love you Mom. It´s hard to think that your are gone but we are so grateful for all the love and support you have given all of us. Never to judge or put in a cross word, just love, listen and support. No matter how you felt or how you were, you were there for us. We all miss you so much and love you so much. Most importantly you are the best Grammy and such a great part of Jack´s life. You will live on forever. Love you Mom.
