Robyn M. MacKinnon, a cherished soul known for her loving kindness and infectious humor, passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2024. She was 46.
Born at St. Margaret’s in Dorchester in 1978 and a longtime resident of Weymouth, Robyn was the beloved middle child to John and Cheryl (Avery) MacKinnon.
A proud graduate of Mt. Ida, Robyn earned her associate's degree. After trial and error with careers, she fell into hair styling and found her passion and went on to grace the community with her talent and passion for over 25 years.
Robyn's resilience and profound belief in God was evident in her triumph over breast cancer, an experience that only deepened her compassion and care for others. She was the heart and soul of every gathering, often referred to as the life of the party, and her presence was a source of joy and comfort to all who knew her.
Her love for animals was just one of the many expressions of her generous spirit. Robyn's home, which she shared with her partner of over 20 years, Bobby, was a testament to her passion for decorating and creating a warm, welcoming space for family and friends.
Robyn's love for her nieces and nephews was boundless, and her role as an aunt was one she embraced with her whole heart. She was the epitome of selflessness, always placing the needs of others before her own, and her sweet, caring nature was a light in the lives of those she touched.
As we bid farewell to Robyn M. MacKinnon, we hold tight to the laughter, the love, and the legacy she leaves behind. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, and her memory will forever be etched in our hearts. Robyn's journey through life was a beautiful testament to the power of kindness, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
