Rocena Lizet Dorton born July 27th 1983, to the parents Steven Glen Young and Mildred Lee Dorton in Portland Oregon at Emmanuel Hospital.
Rocena, full of life, joy and laughter attended Pennisular elementary school. She attended Beaumont Middle School where she discovered her love for music, singing and being a breath of fresh air to all she encountered. She honorably graduated from Grant High School.
Rocena, was known for many things but being dedicated to what and who she loved was top of the list. She was known for her art, passion for music and her desire to be better than herself yesterday! Although a deliquette soul Rocena was boldly eccentric. She had her own style, way of thinking and definitely was a one of a kind person. Although he resting face was prevalent when she smiled it made your heart smile and lit up a room!
After the unfortunate and unexpected loss of her mother God blessed Rocena and her siblings with Tya Anderson-Augustus; known as Nanny to all she cared for. Nanny successfully adopted Rocena and loved her while continuing to push her towards greatness. Through the foundation her mother laid and the structure Nanny installed Rocena couldn't help but to be the courageous, strong willed and yet humble person that she was. No matter what she was love, showed love and wanted everyone to be loved.
Rocena L. Dorton is proceeded in death by her mother, Mildred Dorton, father, Tya Anderson. She leaves to mourn her Sister, Brother, niece and nephew and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins friends and loved ones!
