Rockey Arnold Gardner Sr.

Gardner- Rockey Arnold Gardner, Sr., age 61, of Hampton, Florida, passed away on April 15, 2025, at his residence. He was born on February 28, 1964, in Gainesville, Florida, to the late Percy Gardner and Marie Martin Gardner. Rockey was born in Alachua County, before making Hampton his forever home. After finishing school, he began a long and dedicated career in maintenance. He spent many years as a Supervisor at American Energy Technology, continued his work at Griffin Industries, and later joined Tatum Sawmill. Rockey was a true outdoorsman. He loved hunting, farming, simply being outside, working his land and enjoying nature. His deep connection to the outdoors was matched only by his strong work ethic and the pride he took in providing for his family. Rockey was certainly greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Rockey is survived by his children, Granetta "Netta" (Nikki Baxter) Gardner of Hampton, FL and Rockey Gardner, Jr. of New Hampshire; brother, Wyatt Gardner of Hampton, FL; sisters, Terry ( Mark Blackwell) Martin of Alachua, FL, Donna Youngblood of Hampton, FL, and Janet (Wayne) Fergusion of Lake Butler, FL; grandchildren, Travis Gardner and Ryleigh Gardner; longtime companion, Sandra Gonzalez of Hampton, FL; along with several extended family members and friends.
Rockey's family will celebrate his life at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services and Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel, Starke, Fl. 904-964-5757.
