Sherck – James "Randy" Randall Sherck, age 66, of Starke, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at Bedrock Rehabilitation Center in Live Oak, Florida. Randy was born on March 26, 1959, in Belleview, Ohio, to the late Richard and Florance Ann Sherck. He attended and graduated from High school in Ohio before proudly enlisting in the Army National Guard, where he served with dedication for many years. In the late 1980s, Randy married his beloved wife and best friend, Betty Jane Sloan. Shortly after, the couple relocated to Florida, where they raised their children and built their forever home. While still serving in the National Guard, Randy and his family spent time living in several places, including Germany and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Following his honorable discharge, Randy began his career as a truck driver, hauling produce, lumber, and logs across the country. In his spare time, he enjoyed the thrill of drag racing on the weekends. Randy will be remembered as a kind and loving soul who touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Florance Ann Sherck; loving wife, Betty Jane Sherck; son, James Dewitt Drown; brothers, Sam and Bob Sherck; sisters, Marie and Karen Sherck; and grandson, Kenneth David Drown Jr.

Randy is survived by his children, Rachel (Charles) Parson of Starke, FL; and Kenneth Drown of Ohio; brother, John Sherck; 4 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services and Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel, Starke, Fl. 904-964-5757.
