Ronald Allen "Ronnie" Underhill Sr.

Underhill- Ronald "Ronnie" Allen Underhill, Sr., age 72, of Willacoochee, Georgia, passed away on August 26, 2025, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia. Ronnie was born in Starke, Florida, on May 22, 1953, to the late O.J. and Gladys Cadle Underhill. He was raised in Starke and after attending Bradford High School, he married his best friend, Keena Maria Hilliard, on March 7, 1983. Ronnie and Keena were blessed with 42 wonderful years, 6 children, 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Ronnie was a family man who took great pride in his role as husband, father, papa/grandpa. In the mid 1980's, Ronnie and Keena made Georgia their home where they built their beautiful life. From an early age, Ronnie was instilled with values of hard work and dedication. He was very gifted with his hands and had a successful career as a Truck Driver. He was a true jack of all trades and could accomplish anything with his hard working hands. He was gifted in landscaping, carpentry, electrical work, and remodeling. Among his many accomplishments, Ronnie proudly owned and operated RJ Construction for several years. In his spare time, Ronnie enjoyed hunting, woodworking, tinkering, staying busy with projects, and watching LSU and Minnesota Viking football games. Above all, he treasured time with his beloved family and loved making precious memories with them as his greatest joy was being surrounded by those he loved. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Alvin Underhill.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Keena Underhill of Willacoochee, GA; children, Shelly Carter of Georgia, Big Dana Underhill of Callahan FL, Teresa (Justin) White of Pearson , GA, Dana (Chip) Hancock of Pearson GA, Crystal (C.V.) Gillis of Pearson, GA, and Ronnie (Marina) Underhill, Jr. of Hawthorne, FL; brother, O. Jay (Sandra) Underhill of Hiawassee, GA; sisters, Vicki (Mike) Divona of Middleburg, FL and Sharon Popovich of Hiawassee, GA; 19 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and several extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Ronald's Life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 4:00 pm at Dyal Cemetery with Pastor Randall A. Griffis, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
