Rocky Keith Love, 69, of Lancaster passed away on November 4, 2024. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 1, 1955. Rocky was the son of the late Clarence and Hilda Love. Rocky was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, a ranking Sergeant E4, serving in the post Vietnam Era. Afterwards he worked as a Fireman and Paramedic for the Lancaster Fire Department. He then became the Zoning and Code Administrator for the city of Lancaster, retiring after 28 years. Rocky was an avid lover of music, played guitar and enjoyed singing. He also enjoyed riding his Kawasaki motorcycle, restoring cars, watching his favorite football teams, (OSU Buckeyes, and the Cleveland Browns, NASCAR, and being with family.
Rocky is survived by his children Jessica (Justin) Lehner, Erik (Ashlee) Love and Grandsons, Gavin Meadows, and Ethan and Carson Love. Rocky is also survived by his brother Gary Love, ex-wife June Love and many nieces, nephews, friends and family. Of special mention is Rocky's oldest daughter, Jaime, from his first marriage.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sisters Debbie Anderson, and Julie Fox; and furry companion of 14 years Izzy.
The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 12 at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, in Amanda. Interment will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery, afterwards with meal following at the Tree Church, Lancaster. Friends may call from 5-7pm Monday, November 11 and again Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tree Church.
