Roderick Locks Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home on Mar. 2, 2026.
Roderick D'Angelo Locks was born July 3, 1972, and passed away February 26, 2026, at the age of 53.
He proudly served as a deputy with the Harris County Sheriff's Office for 28 years. Throughout his distinguished career, he was known for his integrity, strength, and unwavering commitment to protecting and serving his community. Law enforcement was more than a profession to him, it was a calling rooted in service and compassion.
A firm believer in the power of education, he pursued higher learning with determination and earned a nursing degree from the College of the Mainland. His academic achievement reflected his hardworking nature and his desire to care for and uplift others. He valued knowledge not only for personal growth but as a way to better serve humanity.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was truly free-spirited. He embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm, finding joy in traveling to new places and experiencing different cultures. He was an avid reader who could often be found immersed in a book, always eager to learn something new. Music brought him peace and happiness, serving as a constant companion throughout his life's journey.
He is survived by his daughters, Zoei Locks, and Chloei Locks; brother, Andre Stearnes; sister, Fawn Locks Webb; uncle, Rudolph Stearnes Jr.; and nephews, Xavier Webb and Jabarie Webb.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Stearnes; grandparents, Rudolph Sr. and Devona Stearnes; uncles, Eldreway Stearnes and Earl Stearnes; aunts, Gereldine Sanders and Shirley Servance.
Arrangements are pending at this time.
