Rodman J. Denison

Mr. Rodman Jesse Denison, age 83, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025 in Wilmington, Delaware following a long illness.

Born on August 8, 1942, Rod grew up in Pennsville, New Jersey. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilmington College and went on to build a lifelong career as an accountant.

Rod served his country with honor both in the New Jersey and Delaware National Guard, achieving the rank of lieutenant. His commitment to service extended beyond the military into his spiritual life as a devoted member of The New Castle Presbyterian church. There he found joy not only in worship but also in music singing faithfully In the church choir.

Rod was an avid amateur actor and performed on local stages for over 50 years. He was a long time member of the Brandywiners drama league and participated in numerous other drama clubs throughout New castle county. He was also a member of the Brandywiners Chorale.

Rod was preceded in death by his loving wife, Beverly Denison. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter , Kelly Susan Deganich and her husband, David Deganich, and his son, Kevin Rodman Denison and his wife, Karla Rowe Denison as well as four grandchildren, Connor and Gavin Denison and Charles and Ashley Deganich.

Friends are invited to pay respects on Saturday October 25th at New Castle Presbyterian Church, located at 25 E 2nd St New Castle, De 19720. The memorial service will begin at 11am, followed by lunch.
