Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mr. Rodney Olan Albritton, 76, of Monroe, LA, will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe with Dr. Albert Kerr officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

Mr. Albritton was born January 27, 1948 and passed away on February 26, 2024. He 

served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Mr. Albritton was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. He retired after 36 years from Lakeshore Elementary School and even had a multipurpose room named after him “The Albritton Room”. Mr. Albritton enjoyed traveling to see his children and especially his grandchildren. He had a green thumb and there was not a plant that he could not take care of. Mr. Albritton enjoyed listening to and playing his piano. He also enjoyed watching Fox News and the Price Is Right and always had his cup of coffee as long as he could find it.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ono C. Albritton and Johnnie Mae Spillyard Albritton.

 

Survivors include his two children, Neal Albritton and wife Sally, Amy Albritton Hann and husband Jason; four grandchildren, Sadie, Aiden, Addie Mae, and Jacob; three siblings, John Michael “Mickey” Albritton and wife Mary, Melba Dee Currence, Philip Steven Albritton and wife Betty; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. 

 

Pallbearers will be Jeremy McMorris, John McIntyre, David Roach, Michael Roach, Josh Dannehl, and Matthew Howland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Troy Jarrell, Tom McCartney, and Eric Lonigro.

 

Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home.

 

Memorials may be made to Memorial Baptist Church.

 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Albert Kerr, members of Memorial Baptist Church, and Elara Hospice.
