Rodney Dale Bean, born February 9, 1963, in Omaha, Nebraska, passed away suddenly on August 7, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Rodney was the owner and operator of Bean Construction, a well-respected construction company in Des Moines, Iowa.

Rodney was known for his sense of humor and passion for helping others. He loved attending concerts, sporting events, and other hometown activities, and cherished the time he spent with his family. Gardening was one of his favorite hobbies, showing his passion for building and creating things with his hands, just like his long, illustrious career in construction. Rodney left an impact on every person he interacted with. From the cashier at the store to his closest family, Rodney was loved, respected, and left an impactful presence that will never be forgotten, completely and utterly dedicated to work and family. Phrases like "If you fall, set the tools down gently" and "Y'all enjoy" still echo in our hearts to this day. Even as a successful entrepreneur who built his business with his hands from the ground up, his greatest accomplishment was being the best father and grandfather anyone could ask for.

Rodney is survived by his daughter, Rhianna Bean-Beisser; grandson, Weston Kascsak; Evan and Alyssa Kascsak - whom he affectionately and jokingly referred to as his "illegitimate" grandkids; mother, Violet "Vi" Bean; siblings: Richard (Sheila) Bean, Barbra Strank, Linda (Jerry) O'Rourke, William Bean, Michael Bean; as well as many other loved ones. He is preceded in death by his father, Irvin Bean; brother, Ronald Bean; and sister, Debbra Stroud.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
