Rodney Golden Bowling, 68, of Madison Heights, VA, passed away peacefully at his home on February 12th, 2024. He was the son of the late Yvonne Bowling.
He is survived by his best friend and sister, Maggie Marie "ReRe" Bowling. In addition to his sister, he is survived by a brother, Allen Bowling, and an uncle, Harold Linkenhoker.
Rodney was born on July 13th, 1955. He received his GED and pursued a career in painting, which he took great pride. He spent many hours studying his trade.
Rodney loved to shoot pool and he excelled in playing. In the 1980s, he spent 340 hours volunteering for the Crisis Line in Lynchburg. He had a real passion for cats. Rodney fed the cats at the local Food Lion for over 15 years. He always had "Fury Friends" in his home.
A celebration of life will be held on April 12th, 2024 at Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, 118 Commonwealth Drive, Madison Heights, VA. Friends are invited to come anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.
