Rodney Clark Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 11, 2024.
HURST - Rodney Craig Clark, 64, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024.
Inurnment Ceremony: 1 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2024 in Greenwood Mausoleum, 3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107.
Born on June 18, 1960 at England Air Force Base in Alexandria, Louisiana, Rodney was the beloved son of Shirley and Armando Ellena. Known as "Rock" to his family and friends, he was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, who was cherished by many.
Rodney spent his high school years in Zaragoza, Spain, where he played basketball and enjoyed traveling with his family. He treasured those years and later looked forward to traveling around the United States to attend Zaragoza alumni reunions.
Rodney proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years, followed by a career in concrete pavement services where he worked as a truck driver. He was passionate about staying fit and could often be found at the gym, a place he loved even more than his time spent riding motorcycles. A dedicated sports fan, Rodney rooted for his favorite teams, the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints, with pride and enthusiasm.
Known as "Papa Rock" to his grandchildren, Rodney was adored by his family. He lived his life with a spirit of adventure, always making time for his loved ones. His sense of humor, kindness, and strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Rest in peace, Rodney. You will forever remain in our hearts.
Rodney was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Glover; and his brother, Anthony Ellena.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Jami Dickerson (Eric) and Shawna Graves (Jared); grandchildren, Jesse, Jace, Jett and Rylee; parents, Shirley and Armando Ellena; siblings, Thomas Ellena (Marisol), Dino Ellena (Nadine), Francine Brown (Greg) and Kristine Long (Mike); and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your local Veterans Affairs hospital or a Veterans charity in Rodney's memory.
