Rodney Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rausch & Steel Funeral Home on Feb. 2, 2026.
Rodney S. Davis was born on March 16, 1949, to Robert and Evelyn Davis in Rice Lake. He peacefully passed away on January 27, 2026.

Rod served honorably in the United States Air Force, where his service took him around the world. He was proud of his military career and enjoyed sharing stories of working on B-52 bombers. Rod loved fishing, trapping, bowling, playing bean bags, and watching hours of golf.

In 1989, Rod married his wife, Placida. Together they built a life filled with memories. He cherished the holidays, a full house, and conversations around the dining room table. He loved his grandchildren deeply, treasured hearing their updates, and made sure they always had cookies waiting. Rod will be deeply missed.

Rod is survived by his wife, Placida; sons, Carlos (Cassie), Rodney (Kim), and Forest; daughter, Jessica (Jared); 10 grandchildren, Kelsey, Zach, Isaac, Ally (Greg), Noah, Cameron, Wyatt, Parker, Tanner, and Peyton; and great-granddaughter, Vivian; brothers, Bill (Ginny), Stuart (Liz), Scott (Deb), Kevin (Patricia); sister, Cara (Jerry); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Rod was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Bobbi Jo; brother, Mike; sister, Kathy; nephews, Stephen and Steven.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the VFW in Barron. All are welcome to share stories; lunch will be served. Burial with Military Funeral Honors will take place this spring.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron. Online condolences can be made at www.rauschandsteelfuneralhome.com.
