Rodney Hamilton Green, age 80 of Olsburg, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at his residence surrounded by family.
He was born on March 19, 1945, in Topeka, the son of Reid Warren and Ruth Mildred (Jameson) Green. He was raised in Topeka and moved to the Olsburg area in 2002.
In 1964, he married Connie Ermey in Topeka. She preceded him in death in 2014.
He was a carpenter, salesman and mechanic. He loved making and repairing furniture, barbecuing, fishing, exploring the countryside and learning about history of the local area. He dearly loved his family, including his son, siblings, nieces, nephews and his dog, Gus.
He is survived by his son, Rodney H. "Charley" Green, Jr.; two brothers, Raymon Green of Olsburg and Rowan Green and wife Tanya of Perry; one sister, Reona Johnson of Olsburg, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Connie Green, he was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Russell Green, and a brother-in-law, Jim Johnson.
Cremation is planned with a private family service to be held at a later date.
