Rodney Leon Hooks ObituaryRodney Leon Hooks was born on May 9th, 1965 in Salinas, California, to Ida Johnson and Willie Tidwell. Rodney was later adopted by Robert Hooks. He was raised in Seaside, California. He attended public school in Seaside and Monterey, California.
Rodney joined the United States Air Force in 1986 and attended basic training in San Antonio, Texas. After basic training, he proceeded to his first duty station, Tinker, Air Force Base. While stationed there, Rodney was united in matrimony to Stephanie (Davis) Hooks and to this union, one son was born, Rodney "RJ" Leon Hooks Jr. Rodney and his family traveled to several other duty stations over the years. He retired from the Air Force in 2007, but continued to serve his country working at Peterson Air Force Base as a civilian.
Rodney leaves to cherish his loving memories to his wife, Stephanie Hooks, and his son, Rodney Hooks Jr, who reside in Colorado Springs, his mother, Ida Mae Johnson, and sister, Lavern Hooks, both who reside in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was predeceased by his fathers, grandparents, and three brothers, Lester, Larry, and William Hooks.
