Rodney Christian Kjobech

Mr. Rodney Christian Kjobech, age 74, of LaGrange, passed away on October 21, 2025. Mr. Kjobech was born in Oakland, California, to the late Christian and Jacqueline (Bouse) Kjobech. For most of his career, he was a Drafting Engineer with Duracell.
Survivors include his children, Kurtis Kjobech, Kirstin Kjobech, Stephanie Beckham, Lisa Cesmat, and Jackie Kjobech; brother, Curtis Kjobech; sisters, Connie West (Dick) and Carlyn Boggan (Brad); six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Rodney was a gentle soul who cared about his children and family, family both by blood and by kinship. He was a generous man who donated to several charities that supported the causes he cared most about. He loved his Oakland Raiders, classic rock concerts, reading books, solving puzzles, playing guitar, and playing board games with family. He was a talented mason until his health forced him to change careers. He found a second career with Duracell as a drafting engineer and retired in 2022.
As a creative, intelligent man with immense talent, he enjoyed making beautiful things with his hands. From stained glass to brick landscape features to clay ornaments to wood furniture, he made this world and the lives of those close to him more beautiful, one kind act and beautiful object at a time. He believed life was about showing up for people, standing for what's right, loving without condition, and leaving the world a little kinder than he found it.
