Rodney Ray Mabry, 55, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 27,2023.
A funeral Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Cox officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Rodney was born in Rockingham County, on July 23, 1968. He graduated from Reidsville Senior High School. He is a long-term employee of CGR Products of Greensboro. He was a “jack of all trades” and loved Woodworking, restoring old cars, helping neighbors with various projects, house projects. Rodney was an animal lover and enjoyed his chickens and goats but especially his faithful dog, Waylon. He opened his home to so many and loved cooking for and entertaining friends and family on special occasions. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his only son, Cody. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Cody Mabry (Sophia Mansour); mother, Dolly Mabry; father, Alton “Skip” Mabry; sisters, Nita Mabry (Janice Whitley), Deanna Mabry (Shannon Watkins); brother, Christian Mabry (Amber Mabry); faithful canine companion, Waylon Mabry as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
