Rodney Eugene Snowden age 72 of Kemp, Texas passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2024. Born on February 8, 1952, in Grand Prairie, Texas, he was the son of Robert Lee Snowden and Luceal Farrar Snowden. Rodney was raised in Irving, Texas.
In 2006 Rodney met the love of his life Lisa Marie Anderson and they were married on April 24, 2010. Together they shared a loving relationship that spanned 14 years. Rodney was a long-haul truck driver for 10 years and had previously worked as an electrician and was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department in Frisco, Texas. He was known for his passion for motorcycles and was a proud member of the "Black Sheep Motorcycle" group. Above all, Rodney cherished the time spent with his family and his beloved dogs. Rodney is remembered as a devoted husband, father and brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Luceal Snowden; siblings, Bobbie Lee and Ralph Snowden.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife Lisa Snowden; sons, Micheal Snowden and Nathan Snowden; stepdaughter, Shalimar Dennis and her husband Howard III; grandson, Howard Dennis IV; brother, Norman Snowden and wife Lana; sister, Sandra Rodges; and sister-in-law, Doris Snowden; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will dearly miss him.
Rodney's life will be celebrated by all who knew him and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A memorial service will be on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 1:30pm at Village Baptist Church Irving, 224 E. Grauwyler, Irving, Texas.
