Rodonna Shalena Davlin, age 60, passed away on February 22, 2026. She was born on February 11, 1966, in
Odessa, Texas, and grew up in Ranger, Texas.
Rodonna dedicated her life to caring for others. She began her career in healthcare at a young age, becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and later serving as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at a nursing home. Her compassion and work ethic defined her professional life. In her later years, she continued serving her community as an Event Specialist with Crossmark, where she remained an extremely devoted worker who took great pride in everything she did.
Rodonna was loving, kind, and would go out of her way to help even a stranger. She was fiercely protective of her family and was known for being a no-nonsense woman who spoke her mind honestly and directly. Those who knew her admired her strength, her loyalty, and her unwavering sense of right and wrong. She also had a free spirit and a sense of humor that those close to her knew well, enjoying life in her own way and in her own terms always staying true to herself. She had a deep love for history, learning, and anything educational. Music and plants brought her peace, and she found joy in the simple things life offered. Rodonna loved to cook and bake for her family and even joked that she never had enough people to cook for. Her kitchen was a place of laughter and love. Above all, she treasured her role as a grandmother and loved her grandchildren with her whole heart.
In the last years of her life, Rodonna devoted herself to raising her grandson, Danyuel Davlin, teaching him everything she knew to help him grow into a strong and successful young man. This role brought her great purpose and pride and reflected the depth of her love and commitment to her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Danika Detlaff; her sons, Roman Davlin and Colton Davlin; her sister, D'andria Davlin Maas; her brother, Bubba Davlin; Nieces; Shanea Davlin, Laci J Davlin, and Alyssa Davlin, Nephews; Dustin Baugus, Braxton Baugus, Wolfgang Wisell, and her beloved grandchildren: Danyuel Davlin, Jadyn Detlaff, Jonathan Diaz, Brayden Davlin, Dominic Davlin, Mia Davlin, Xandria Davlin, and Daveena Davlin.
She was preceded in death by her son, Chandon Davlin; her niece, Sierra Geralds; her brother, Dwayne Davlin; her father, Rodney Davlin; and her mother, Donna Davlin.
Rodonna's life was marked by service, strength, and unconditional love for her family. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched as a nurse, a mother, a grandmother, and a friend. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
