Roene Gainey Jones, 95, of Hope Mills, passed away June 27, 2025.
Born in Cumberland County she was the daughter of the late Percy and Katie Ann Parker Gainey. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Marshall Blackmon and Eugene Jones, daughter, Brenda Sue Blackwell and son, Eddie Marshall Blackmon, granddaughter, Joyce Ann Patterson Reynolds and grandson, Timothy Eugene Patterson.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara Patterson, Betty Scott, Faye Tafoya and Rita Laplante; grandchildren, Dale Patterson, Michael Scott, Kenny Ray Scott, Michelle Estes, Kimberly Estes, Marshall Blackwell, Heath Blackwell, Mark Ratley, Eddie Blackmon, Jr., Shelby Blackmon, Sherrie Blackmon, Chasity Blackmon, Jeanette Blackmon, Ashley Blackmon, Tiffany Blackmon and many great grandchildren.
Roene loved her church and raising her children.
She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
