Rogelio Morales Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium - Justice on Mar. 18, 2026.
Rogelio Confesor Morales, 88, passed away on February 22, 2026. He was born on January 29, 1938, in Camuy, Puerto Rico and was a resident of North Fort Myers, Florida.

Our father lived his life the only way he knew how - on his own terms, with strength, pride, and deep love for his family.

He was born in Puerto Rico, and that spirit never left him. It was in his work ethic, in his resilience, in the way he carried himself. He built a life through hard work and determination. He worked hard every day and made sure his family was taken care of.

He was first and always a husband. For 66 years, he loved our mother Barbara Morales with a steady, loyal kind of love that most people only hope to find.

He was a father to three children, and we never doubted that we were his priority. He showed his love by providing, protecting, fixing, teaching, and sometimes pushing us to be stronger than we thought we could be.

He loved being outdoors - working with his hands, caring for animals, and staying active. He wasn't someone who sat still for long. Even later in life, he kept moving and kept showing up.

Our dad wasn't perfect - he was real. Strong-willed. Independent. Proud. But underneath it all was a man whose whole life revolved around taking care of the people he loved.

He leaves behind his wife Barbara Morales of 66 years, his three children Rick Morales, Chris Ellis and Ed Morales, four grandchildren: Stephen Ellis Jr. married to Alerie Ellis, Jeffery Ellis married to Brie Ellis, Kimberly Nance married to Richard Nance and Jessica Seigman married to Ryan Seigman and five great-grandchildren, and a legacy of hard work, loyalty, and love. He will now be reunited with his mother Ramona Heinrich and brother, Jose Morales, together once again.
