Rogene H. (Sawinski) Boileau, 95, formerly of Harold Street in Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday January 15. She was a native of Massena and later moved to Ontario, Canada and Syracuse. Rogene was employed by Prestolite where she worked as an assembler. She was a staple patron of the VFW in Mattydale. Rogene was predeceased by her loving husband, Theodore Sr. in 2006 and her son, Daniel in 1995. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Elizabeth and Erik Mattox; their children, Marissa (Matt) Heffernon, Erik (Jenna) Mattox and Gabrielle (Adam) Lichtenberg; her daughter MaryJean Boileau (Jack Felice); her children, Lyndsay Boileau(Jacob Cespedes), Chadwick Curtis ( ReAnnin Christenson) and Noah Curtis; her son and daughter in law, Theodore "Teddy" and Melissa Boileau; their daughter, Sara Boileau (Steven Wagner); her great grandchildren, Elodi, Cecillia, Lisette, Aliyah, Micah, and Marleigh Mattox, Jaxon, Jace, Lilliana and Rosalee and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the loving staff at Loretto for the compassionate care provided to their mother. Family and friends may call 2pm to 4pm Saturday, February 1st at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse. A memorial service will follow. Contributions may be made in Rogene's Honor to a charity of your choice.
