Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Alley; sister, Anita Alley; maternal grandparents, Benton and Eliza McCormack.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jan Alley; daughter, Tara (Chris) Troutman; sons, Jon (Jessica) Alley and Joshua Alley; grandchildren, Trey (Kayla) Litchfield, Anita (Dustin) Morris, Danny Stout, J. T. Alley, Matthew Stout, Payton Alley, Colton, Alley, Blake Alley, Trenton Alley, Cara Alley, Addison Alley, Austin Troutman, and Kaylee Troutman; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Gelinda) Alley; 1 nephew; 3 nieces; fur babies, Montana, Cody and Dakota; bonus son, Jimmy (Brittany) Craig.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 25th at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Bro. Adam Cothron officiating. Interment will follow the service at Fairfield Cemetery in Westmoreland with Trey Litchfield, J.T. Alley, Matthew Stout, Chuck Stout, Jimmy Craig, and Dustin Morris serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Trenton Alley, Colton Alley and Payton Alley. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 24th from 4:00-8:00 PM and Friday, July 25th from 8:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
The family wants to send a special thank you to High Point Hospice and all their family and friends that prayed for them, visited and sent food.
Memorial donations in honor of Roger may be made to Fairfield Cemetery in Westmoreland, Tennessee.

I am sorry to hear of Roger´s passing. He was my neighbor for 34 years, a good friend and always a smile and a wave when I saw him.
