Roger Arndt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jowett Funeral Home and Cremation Service & Reception Center - Port Huron on Sep. 3, 2024.
Roger P. Arndt, age 70 of Goodells, passed away on August 31, 2024. He was born on August 3, 1954 to the late Emil and Irma (Klavisowsky) Arndt. He was raised in Roseville and moved his family to Goodells.
Roger is the loving husband of Ann (Muscat) Arndt, father to Carol (Sal) Rodriguez, Roger Arndt Jr., Holly (Ed) Veo, Noelle (Mick) Smith, Daniel (Erika) Arndt and Zachary (Marla) Arndt, papa to Roger Arndt III, William Arndt, Steven (Miranda) Dortman, Mickey Smith, David Dortman, Alexandra Rodriguez, Samuel Rodriguez, Genevieve Veo, Stella Veo, Charlotte Veo, Daniel Arndt, Violet Arndt, Dominick Kabot and Aurora Annabelle Arndt, the brother of Helen and Scott Harris and his companion, Orson, who will take care of Ann.
He was preceded in death by his siblings; Violet, Gladys, Scotty, Raymond, Eddie, Frank, Joe, Marilyn, Carol, June and Donnie.
Roger was a build leader and tool maker at Citation Tool. He was there until an accident paralyzed him from the chest down. The accident didn't stop Roger from doing the things he loved. He enjoyed the Upper Peninsula, his garden, sports and time with his family.
Roger was the loving husband of 50 plus years to his wife, Ann. Through thick and thin, they were everything to each other. They grew up together and raised a family to be proud of. She was the love of his life and reason to be a better man.
To his children, he was their everything. Roger was the rock of the family. He was their confidant. Through thick and thin, he would be there. To talk, to listen and to help. He made time for each of them and loved them with his whole being.
Family and friends meant the world to Roger. He taught all his children so much, the little things. What bird, tree or what tool to use, who's playing on what team. Roger could talk to anyone and often wouldn't shut up, until he wanted you to leave.
It's the little things that we will miss the most – running to the mailbox barefoot, after the first snow, washing our hair in the rain, chasing whatever animal got out that day, playing baseball in the field, bonfires, giant pumpkins and hayrides.
He was so much to so many and will never be replaced. He will be remembered in a wind that whispers, a story told and you will smile when you remember Roger. A Legend.
A Celebration of Rogers Life will be held on Sunday – September 8, 2024 at the Goodells County Park Exhibition Hall from 1:00pm – 6:00pm.
