LOWELL - Roger A. "Bo" Asselin, age 69, a longtime resident of Lowell died Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness.  He was born to the late Joseph and Blanche (Langlois) Asselin, in Lowell, on May 4, 1952, and was a graduate of Lowell High School class of 1970.  Bo was employed for many years as a 2nd Pressman for RR Donnelley in Hudson, MA, up until the facility shut down in the late 90's. Shortly afterwards, life-long friend Bert Masse, of Pelham, NH, started his career as a sprinkler pipe fitter for Masse Fire Protection following 8 years at Mammoth Fire Alarms Inc. in Lowell. He loved working with his hands, and it showed in the quality of his work. In his free time, Bo enjoyed riding his motorcycle up the coast, and going on charity rides with friends, notably Donald Lafond, of Lowell. He also loved sipping margaritas in the sun, either by the pool or at the beach while hanging out with his four-legged son Chester. His greatest joy however, was spending time in the company of his loving family, especially his adoring grandchildren.  Bo is survived by his three sons, Daniel Johnson and his partner KarieAnn of Merrimack, NH, Michael Johnson of Worcester, and Chad Asselin and his partner Cara Molk of Danvers; his daughter, Lisa Coupal and her husband Jeremy of Hudson, NH; eight grandchildren (soon to be nine!), Madison, Tyler, Mason, and Charlie Johnson, Kyleigh Johnson, Morgan, Lainey, and Sadie Coupal, and one on the way; two brothers, Armand "Babe" Asselin and his wife Linda of Claremont, FL and Robert Asselin of Lowell; two sisters, Lucille "Lulu" Asselin and Susan Berard and her husband Robert, all of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews, including Jennifer Ignatowicz and her husband John of Pelham, NH and Jason Berard and his wife Gail and their children Boston and Grace of Aurora, CO, all of whom held a special place in Bo's heart. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bo's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Thursday, Nov. 18th from 9:30am until 11:30am followed by his Funeral Service at 12:30pm at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel in Chelmsford. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you do an unsolicited act of kindness or donate to a charity of your choosing in his name.

Bo it´s been eight months since you left and still hard to believe. A couple days ago a picture that I´ve been searching for popped up out of nowhere...today a beauty of a butterfly circled without any fear of my existence. My heart knows you were here! Continue to send all the goodness from above because God knows we all need it. Praying that you´re at peace and living it up high in the heavens.
We love you

Hi Bo,
Another Month has passed so I'm letting you know you haven't been forgotten. Two months flew by but it still feels like yesterday. I try to stay positive and keep busy but that doesn't seem to work all the time. My tears are many as I miss you here with us. I do miss your smile after I've finished cleaning your house, you were always happy when it was done. Chester is living the good life in Fla. ..and in great care with Babe. I know you are having the best time ever with your friends and Mom. I will write you again.
Love, Lulu xo

Dear Bo, just a note to let you know I haven't forgotten you at all..today its a Month and still feels like yesterday..I think of you often but I was on the wrong track of grieving, instead of focusing on the way you left us, I should be thinking of you in the way you lived..the photos are proof of it..you were the best Brother God could have given me, I love and will miss you always. Thank you for being there for me,,Love forever, your Sister, Lulu xo ps..I picture you on a new motorcycle with Paul Morrissette as a passenger riding around the Mountains and Oceans you never thought imaginable...and I know Mom is so happy to see you. xo

Bo, it is so difficult for us and hard to believe that you are not with us anymore. We are going to miss you terribly. We will always keep you in our hearts and remember all the motorcycle rides we went on. Farmer's Kitchen was your favorite breakfast place, and we will always think of you when we go. Rest in peace Bo; you are no longer in pain. Missing you.

To Susie, Bobby & Family of Bo: I considered him a dear friend, and I know for a fact what a nice guy he always was. A great person taken way too early so I will never understand God's plan until we all meet up together again one day. Cherish and hold those memories close to your heart. Rest In Peace Bo!
