Roger W. Bakka, Jr., 65, of Hampshire, passed away August 22, 2024, at JourneyCare in Barrington.
He was born May 15, 1959, in Des Plaines, the son of Roger and Sharon (Ames) Bakka Sr.
He graduated from William Fremd High school. He had many jobs, but his specialty was trim carpentry. He would call himself a perfectionist. He was very creative, and one of his hobbies was building things out of wood. He was known for his sense of humor and animated mind. He loved to entertain and used to always draw comical cartoons. One of his goals, was to create a cartoon show together with his son, Roger. He was an animal lover, especially to his dogs over the years. He enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with his close friends and family. One of his favorite things to do was pick berries with his grandkids, who he loved dearly. He was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan, never missing a game. He was hoping for another Super bowl win, stating, "This will be the year."
He is survived by his children, Heather (James) Morrison, and Roger Bakka III (Fiancée Kristin Doan) ; grandchildren, Preston, Caden, Mason, Brooklyn, and Isabella; and his father, Roger Bakka Sr.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Bakka

I was Roger's nurse for the past few years and he was a real nice, funny man. I truly enjoyed getting to know him and I'm sorry to hear that he has passed away. May he rest in peace. God speed Roger!
