Roger Dean Bibbee, 69, of Vienna, WV passed away September 6, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
Roger was born August 1, 1955 in Parkersburg, son of the late Donald and Carol (Rohrer) Bibbee.
Roger was a 1974 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He was a life-long dedicated public servant, serving the City of Vienna, Wood County, and the state of West Virginia in various emergency management roles. He was an active member of the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department for 27 years, rising to the position of Deputy Chief, and an honorary member for 22 years for a total of 49 years of service. Roger also was proud to have been one of the longest serving members of the Vienna City Council for 24 years where he acted as liaison to the Fire Department. Roger was part of the earliest paramedic classes through St. Joseph's Ambulance Service (Reddies). He went on to serve as the West Virginia Office of Emergency Management Services Region Five Director. At the end of his career, he worked security at Marietta Memorial Hospital and Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. He truly enjoyed helping others in multiple capacities.
He is survived by his sons, Brandon (Jaima) Brown, Adam (Jocelyn) Bibbee, Braden (Samantha) Bibbee, Chase "C.D." (Hannah) Bibbee and five grandchildren: Jace, Brittany, Ava, Layton and Kayan. He is also survived by his siblings, Nancy Baker of Yukon, OK, Cheryl Bibbee of Vienna, WV, RIck Bibbee of Vienna, WV; a nephew, Andrew Baker of Yukon, OK and a niece, Rachel Cumberledge-Bibbee of Lima, OH.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Lee Baker and nephew, Kurt Baker.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
