Mr. Roger L. Brown

Roger L. Brown, 80, of Elizabethtown, passed from this life at 1:10 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2026 at his home surrounded by family.
Roger was born November 1, 1945, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Mary McClain.
Mr. Brown worked in the maintenance department for Cummins Engine Company for many years prior to retiring. He was a simple man his entire life, however Roger cherished the opportunity to fish and spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Mary (Ken) McDonald of Shelbyville, LeEtta (Mike) Melvin of Bellingham, Washington, Lora (Lonnie) Ryan of Columbus, Tom Feiles of North Vernon; grandchildren, Magen (Darin) Arbuckle, Clayton Trotter, Grace McDonald, Lillian McDonald, Adrienne McDonald, Brandon (Johanna) Melvin, Kelsey Melvin, Jessica Melvin, Amanda Ryan, Drew Feiles, Heather Eckert, Josh Adams, Nick Adams, Cody Adams, Josh; great-grandchildren, Alyssa McCollum, Isaac McCollum, Belle Foxworthy, Sophia Foxworthy, Brennly Melvin, Kyler, Benny, Colton; siblings, Gloria Quicksell, Nellie Sullivan, Delilah Lefler, Timmy (Diane) Brown, David Brown, Karen Brown, all of Columbus; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Kyle Feiles; companion, Karen Wheeler and the love of his life, Caroline Feiles.
A graveside service for Roger will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Azalia Methodist Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
