Roger Bruce Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 29, 2025.
Roger William "Rog" Bruce, 77, passed away on August 20, 2025, in North Port, Florida. Born on July 16, 1948, in Seattle, Washington, he gave his life to Jesus Christ in 1996 and was baptized in Lake Sammamish. Roger lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by family and the simple joys he cherished most.
Roger was married for 50 years to his wife Henrese "Rita" Bruce and a proud father to his children: Debbie Nemeth, LaVar Robinson, and Robert Bruce. His love extended deeply into the next generations as well-he was a beloved grandfather to Ezekiel Nemeth, Gabriel Nemeth, Kyanee Severance, Jayden Beekel, Tia Robinson, DeMarco "DJ" Robinson Jr., Makaila Bruce, Ariel Bruce, and Kaden Bruce. He also held a special place in his heart for his great-grandchildren Sophia Beekel, Anastasia Severance and Amir-Matai Noor Bruce. Roger's siblings: Dianna Osgood, Lesley Nammar, Ronnie Bruce and Rick Hultberg (deceased).
Whether gathered around a board game or sharing stories by the campfire during family camping trips, Roger found joy in togetherness and treasured every moment spent with loved ones. A man of quiet passions and thoughtful pursuits, Roger enjoyed reading and solving puzzles-activities that reflected his curious mind and quest for knowledge. He found peace in fishing trips and the serenity of nature while camping. Board games were another favorite pastime; they brought out his playful and competitive spirit.
Roger's legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his steady presence and dependability. May the Lord comfort the hearts of those he leaves behind.
