Roger Butler Obituary
He was a member of Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church and a life-long farmer. He was retired from Altec and loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping.
He was the son of the late Cecil Butler and the late Opal Hornback Butler.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sandy Butler, and a granddaughter, Kaya Catron.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Butler of Upton; five children, David Slack (Jessica) of Bonnieville, Daniel Butler (Felicia) of Upton, Heather Catron (Chris) of Hodgenville, Heather Jenkins (David) of Upton and Kelly Meredith (Collin) of Leitchfield; 12 grandchildren, Abby, Ty, Waylon, Chloe, Luke, Kayleigh, Kink, Makayla, Walter, Addie, Tucker and Kiara plus one on the way, Ella; his one sister, Jo Kittinger (Doug) of Upton; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. CDT (2 p.m. EDT) Saturday, Aug. 30, at Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church in Upton with Bro. Bethel Miller and Bro. Adam Jenkins officiating. Burial follows in Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will welcome friends from 2 to 8 p.m. CDT (3 to 9 p.m. EDT) Friday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. CDT (9 a.m. to 2 p.m. EDT) Saturday at the church.
Brooks Funeral Home in Munfordville is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
