Roger Alan De Noyelles born in Detroit, MI is predeceased by his parents, Roger Coral De Noyelles and Winifred Alice Mc Cain De Noyelles; his stepmother, Simonne Liborelle De Noyelles; his in-laws, Erik Howard Duffy and Barbara Susan Bowes Duffy; and his nephew, Paul Donald Anbro. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan De Noyelles; his children, Leslie Gesek (Glenn), Erik (Jenna), and John (Katie); his grandchildren, Laurissa De Noyelles, Kyle Almstead, Sage Almstead, Wade Almstead, Kai Gesek, Savannah De Noyelles, Robbie Duffy, Lydia Duffy, Matthew De Noyelles, and Elise De Noyelles; niece, Marcy Anbro Herrick (Trevor Herrick); and great-niece and great-nephew, Yvette Herrick and Clive Herrick. Roger loved his family. Roger loved his friends. "For the joy of human love, brother, sister, parent, child, friends on earth and friends above, for all gentle thoughts and mild, Lord of all, to Thee we raise this hymn of grateful praise."
Roger served in the US Navy from 1962-1966 as a Hospital Corpsman Third Class, Pharmacy Technician, and Field Medical Corpsman. For the first two years of his four years he did serve with the US Navy, but his last two years of those four years with the Navy he then served with the US Marine Corps. "God Bless America, land that I love, stand beside her and guide her through the night with the light from above."
Roger graduated from Mackenzie High School, Detroit, MI with a Diploma in 1962; Michigan State University, E. Lansing, MI with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion in 1970; Mc Cormack Theological Seminary, Chicago, IL with a Master of Devinity in Theology in 1973, Marywood College, Scranton, PA with a Master of Social Work in 1989; and Drew University, Madison, NJ with a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling in 2008.
Roger was Ordained as a Presbyterian (USA) Teaching Elder, Minister, and Clergy at his home church, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Detroit, MI in 1973. He was Certified as a Hospital Chaplain, Nursing Home Chaplain, and a Psychiatric Chaplain by the American Association of Professional Chaplains in 1976. He was also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Therapist/Counselor in 1989. "Here I Am Lord. Is it I Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go Lord, if You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart."

As a Pastor he served at Ross Memorial Presbyterian Church, Binghamton, NY. As a Stated Supply Pastor he served, Immanuel Presbyterian Church, Binghamton, NY. As an Interim Pastor he served at Caroline Valley Federated Church, Brooktondale, NY. Finally, Roger served as Parish Associate Pastor of Conklin Presbyterian Church, Conklin, NY.
As a Chaplain he served at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukie's Medical Center, Chicago, IL; Cook County Hospital, Chicago, IL; University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor, MI; Mott Children's Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI; Harper Hospital, Detroit, MI; Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY; and Good Shepherd Fairview Hospital, Binghamton, NY. As a Clinical Social Worker Therapist, Roger served in his Private Counseling Practice, Binghamton, NY; served at Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY; served Magellan Behavioral Health, an Employee Assistant Program Corporation, Vestal, NY; Employee Network Incorporation, an Employee Assistant Corporation, Vestal, NY; Senior Connections of NY, Binghamton, NY; Binghamton Vet Center, Binghamton, NY; 107th Air National Guard, Niagara Falls, NY; and Fort Drum, 10th Army Mountain Division, Fort Drum, NY.
In Roger's free time he enjoyed going to the parks, beaches, rivers, lakes, and oceans. He had loved to travel in many countries, to see historical sights, and to see God's beautiful world. He had enjoyed swimming; water skiing; snow skiing; white water rafting; hiking; and camping as a Boy Scout, as a sailor in the Navy, and as an adult. He loved to listen to audio-books and music. He loved going to restaurants, concerts, museums, and to sporting events. He loved going to see various architectures, art, and churches. He loved being at church worship services. He loved going to the movie theater to see movies or sit at home and watch TV. He loved to work around the house especially organizing things inside and outside. He loved his home. He loved to work on the family ancestral tree from his computer. He loved his pets and loved playing with them especially Tiger, his childhood pet cat, and Holly, his adult pet, golden retriever dog. He loved his home with his wife, children, and grandchildren being there. He loved being with family and friends at parties, holidays, anniversaries, and birthdays. "Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee: how great thou art, how great thou art!
Roger had loved his God and had tried to serve God faithfully in his ministry. In his professional work, in his life, and with his family. His faith had been deep in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through God's Holy Spirit he had tried his best to love his wife, family, friends, and neighbors. He had served his country well. He had been very grateful and thankful for the love given back from God, family, friends, neighbors, clergy, counselors, therapists, doctors, nurses, teachers, physical therapists, speech pathologists, engineers, mechanics, car salespersons, administrative assistants, veterans, sailors, marines, airmen, soldiers, co-workers, parishioners, patients, clients, and all those other persons who have intersected with him in his life. Roger had used Giod's gifts given to him to help make this world a better world. "Well done, good and faithful servant! Well done!" Matthew 25:23
