Roger Dean Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Childs-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home on Dec. 31, 2025.
PIERPONT - Roger Robert Dean, 56, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025 at UH - Conneaut Medical Center.
He was born on March 27, 1969 in Dorset, the son of Roger Lee and Rose (Bauwin) Dean and had been a lifelong area resident.
A 1987 graduate of Jefferson High School and the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School, Roger completed TDDS Truck Driving School and earned his CDL. A tireless entrepreneur, Roger operated multiple businesses including T&R Towing, Route 45 Towing, Next Generation Auto Sales, and MS&R Properties which managed multiple rentals in the area.
Roger loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was a regular attendee at Daytona Bike Week. He also had a passion for restoring old classic cars and was especially grateful to have recently re-acquired one of his favorites, his 1993 Chevy Indy Pace Truck that he owned before getting married, some 30 years later. But nothing was a greater joy for Roger than spending time with his grandchildren and daughter's who were truly "Daddy's Girls." Although not much of dancer, he would dance with them every chance he got, even if he was doing it from a chair!
His survivors include his wife, his partner, and the love of his life, Teresa (Strang) Dean, whom he married March 25, 1995; his daughters, Mariah (Josh) Mitter of Ashtabula and Sierra (Cody) Hoffman of Pierpont; four grandchildren, Camden, Walker, Jamison, and Parker (whom he always called Miss Parker); his parents, Roger and Rose Dean of Dorset; two sisters, Becky Moyer of Jefferson and Catherine Belsar of Lebanon; and one brother, Joseph Dean of Dorset.
Calling hours will be held from 3-5PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026 with a time of sharing and celebration of his life to follow at 5 PM at the CHILDS-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 1071 SR 7, Pierpont, OH. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Harley Davidson or T&R Towing Shirt or biker gear.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the family.
