Roger Digre passed away at his home in rural Dalton, Minnesota on November 1, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Roger Lowell, along with his twin brother, Ronald Joel, was born on February 4, 1943, at the Madison, Minnesota Hospital to Joel and Nora Lucille Kostad Digre. He was baptized at First Lutheran Church and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church, both in Madison. After receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior in 1970, he received baptism as an adult by Pastor Wally McGuire, Community Bible Church, Fergus Falls, MN.

Roger and his twin brother, Ronald along with their older brother Kenneth, spent their growing-up years in Madison. In addition to his parents and brothers, he was blessed to have both maternal and paternal grandparents and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins living in Madison. He attended elementary school and graduated from Madison High School on June 1, 1961.

As a young child, Roger was hospitalized with polio for three months but went on to participate in athletics while in high school, especially excelling in Gymnastics where he performed at the state level. He was also on Baseball and Track teams. After high school, he entered the National Guard and was stationed at Fort Leonard, MO for basic training.

On April 4, 1964, he married the love of his life, Eunice Claire Bothun at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dalton, MN with Pastor E.O. Stenson officiating. They lived in the Twin City area, rural Brimson, rural Ashby, and finally rural Dalton where they lived for many years. He was employed in various places before becoming a postal clerk/carrier in Minneapolis and Fergus Falls, ending his 30-year career after being named postmaster in Campbell and then Ashby, MN.

Roger & Eunice became parents of three children, Jill Jennifer Digre Field (Cody, whom Roger also looked upon as a son) of Alexandria, Carl Joseph Digre of Fergus Falls, and Andrew Lowell Digre of Fargo.

Roger enjoyed camping, traveling, gardening, golfing, motorcycling, watching sports, hunting, fishing, and studying and teaching the Scriptures. He was active in Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship for a number of years and was a charter member of the North Hennepin chapter, President of the Fergus Falls chapter, and was named an International Director.

He is survived by his wife, children, son-in-law, brother Kenneth Digre, nephews, nieces, and cousins. At request of the family, no flowers are requested. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Life Church or Hospice of the Red River Valley.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, at 1:00 PM with visitation one hour prior at Life Church, 901 County Highway 116, Fergus Falls, MN 56537.

Interment at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Sewell, rural Dalton, Minnesota.
