Kenneth Digre Obituary

Kenneth Birdean Digre passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on January 28, 2025.

He was born to Joel and Lucille Digre in Madison, MN where he was raised. He graduated from Madison High School, Mankato State, Command and General Staff College, and the US Army War College. Ken worked as an educator from 1963-1994 when he retired from Lakeville High School where he worked as a Dean. He enlisted in the National Guard in 1954. Retired in 1988 at the rank of Colonel. After retiring, Ken and Gloria split their time between Tropic Star Community in Texas and Crosslake, MN. They moved to the Charter House in Rochester in 2018.

Ken is preceded in death by his loving wife, Gloria; daughter, Karna; his parents, Joel and Lucille; and brothers, Ron and Roger.

He is survived by children Crystal (Doug), Kent (Tristin); grandchildren Renee (Cris), Dan (Suzanne), Joel (Brittney), Emma (Brandon), Maya ( Alex), Anthony, Nora (Austin); great-grandchildren Delaney, Siena, Brooke, Coryn, Keaton, Blake Kenneth, Parker, Hyzer; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend Ken's funeral at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on February 28. Visitation at 10 AM, Service at 11 AM. Interment will be at a later date at Camp Ripley, MN.
