Roger Kenneth Flurnoy, Sr., 84 of Boones Mill, passed away peacefully
on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 32
years, Anna Mae Flurnoy; and son, Robert Edward Flurnoy.
He is survived by his sons, Roger Kenneth Flurnoy, Jr., and
John Leonard Flurnoy; daughter, Sherri Lynn Flurnoy; nine grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol and his very special brother-in-law Bobby
Lane, and Charlotte Obrian; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roger is also survived by a special daughter-in-law, Anita
Gurganious. She loved and cared for him during his time of sickness and the
family is very grateful for all of the love she gave to dad.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August
4, 2025 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Turpin officiating.
Interment will follow in the Restvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends
from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
