Roger Gerbig Obituary
Roger was born May 22,1949 in Canastota, NY to Fred Gerbig and Alice Dorrance Gerbig. Roger attended school in Morrisville, NY before moving on to the US Navy where he served on nuclear powered submarines for seven years. Roger married Frances Rashford May 22, 1971. Roger and wife Fran retired to Ocean View, DE in 2022.
Roger was preceded in death by his son, Curtis Gerbig; parents, Fred and Alice Gerbig and brother, Ben Gerbig. He is survived by his wife, Frances and son, Chris; daughter in law, Kay Gerbig and grandchildren, Shane and Alexa Gerbig, as well as sister, Mary Benedict; brother, Joe Gerbig and large extended family.
A celebration of life is scheduled in Eaton, NY at the home of Nick and Margaret Rashford on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at noon. Donations in lieu of flowers should be sent to the Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation. Goodbye Roger. You were one of my best friends throughout school days. We sang together, played sports, camped out. My condolences to Frances and all of Roger´s family.
