Roger Dale Hall, 77 of Statesville, born on February 14, 1948, in Patrick County, Virginia, passed away on October 31, 2025, at Autumn Care of Statesville. He left this world following a short period of declining health, surrounded by the memories of a life well-lived and the love for his family that defined his existence.

Roger dedicated much of his career as a driver for a bakery, a job that allowed him to connect with his community and provide for his loved ones. He was a proud veteran, having served his country in the U.S. Army, where he spent time in Germany. Roger was a devoted family man whose love for his wife and family was unparalleled. His beloved wife, Faye Bryant Hall, preceded him in death, and Roger's memory will forever cherish their deep bond.

Roger was of the Baptist faith and drew comfort in his spiritual beliefs throughout his life. He enjoyed leisure moments watching classic westerns such as "Gunsmoke," "The Rifleman," and "Wagon Train." In addition to his love for these shows, he was an avid sports fan with particular passion for NASCAR, frequently cheering on Jeff Gordon, as well as following the Atlanta Braves, Carolina Panthers, and Washington Commanders.

Roger leaves behind a loving family that includes two sons, Ronald Dale "Ronnie" Hall (Kirsten) and Michael Hall (Dale), and a daughter, Tonia Faye Alanis. His legacy continues through five grandchildren: Ronald Dale Hall II, Jenna Marie Hall, Madison Hall, Kameron Hall, and Emilee Faye Alanis. He also enjoyed the joy of two great-grandchildren, Roy Hall and Angel Hall. Additionally, Roger embraced his role as a step-grandfather to four step-grandchildren: Teigan Ostwalt, Abby Wells, Tina Alanis, and Brian Alanis, along with four step-great-grandchildren: Izzy Alanis, Lucas Connell, Brandon Townsend, and Kiyah Wells. He is also survived by his sister, Bobbie Jean Deal.

Roger joins a number of loved ones in eternal rest, including his father, Robert Burton Hall, and mother, Essie Marie Hall. He will be remembered alongside seven siblings: Donald Hall, JoAnn Martin, Jimmy Hall, Charles Hall, Shirley Neighbors, and Debbie Hunley.

Visitation will be held at Nicholson Funeral Home on November 8, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Lewis officiating. He will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery following the service. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Roger’s life, a life marked by unwavering love for his family and an enduring spirit that touched many.
