Roger Darrell Hicks

Roger Darrell Hicks, 50 of Sophia, NC passed away September 24, 2025. Roger was born June 13, 1975 in Welch, WV a son of Carlos and Elizabeth Woody Hicks. Roger was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ira and Media Noon Hicks and maternal grandparents, Willard and Edna Keene Woody. Survivors include his parents, Carlos and Elizabeth Hicks of Sophia, NC; his wife Ronda Hicks also of Sophia; one daughter, Nikki Hale of Ramseur, NC; two sons, Demtrus England of Beckley, WV and Quintin Hicks of Sophia, NC; his siblings, Wanda Zepeda of Randleman, NC, Jeffrey Hicks of Princeton, WV and Mya Hicks of Sophia. NC; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 2 o'clock with Pastor Roger Hicks and Pastor Scott Daniel officiating at the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in War, WV. Burial will follow in the Hartwell Cemetery in Berwind, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. Friends may visit with the family Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in War, WV from 11 o'clock until the time of services.
